Project Brief
Unity in Diversity: PETRONAS on Vernacular Schools Develop a campaign encouraging Malaysians to appreciate vernacular schools as a celebration of diversity and heritage. While the campaign doesn't promote enrollment, it is essential to communicate the value of these schools in preserving cultural diversity.

Insight
A majority of Malaysians are still sceptical that vernacular school
is only for the Chinese community, which cannot promote unity.

Idea
"The Slang that Unites Us" is a short film about students from diverse backgrounds who overcome language barriers and cultural differences. Assigned by their teacher to create a poster about Malaysian slang, they bond over shared experiences and learn the importance of cultural understanding. The film ends with the powerful message: "Slang is our shared language, to communicate, to unite us."
